Kieku’s own special oat-flaxseed feed contains local grains with additional vitamin D. This way the healthy features of eggs are enhanced naturally. Healthy top quality feed also raises the wellbeing of the hens.


We are what we eat. The Western diet has a shortage of Omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin D and we tend to get too much saturated fat which raises the blood cholesterol level.

Kieku’s special feed yields new Optima Omega + D eggs which contain more unsaturated fat, omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin D and lower level of cholesterol.


Kieku Ltd. is an egg-producing company founded in 2007 and owned by 16 producer families. On many farms eggs have been produced for generations.

The total production volume of Kieku represents 30 % of Finland’s total egg production. The packaging facility in Loimaa is the most modern in Scandinavia.


The safety of Finnish eggs is the best in the world and Finland is totally Salmonella free country in Europe. Every flock is tested for Salmonella at least four times in the year. Therefore Finnish eggs can even be eaten raw.
